Theme day: City Exchange
Downtown Fayetteville, NC – Hay St. Market House – built in 1832. Cow Pasture
One of the nice things about living in Selma is the fact that you can drive about two miles and be in the country. I was driving around this weekend and came across this pasture with cows grazing in the field. Old Tobacco Barn
This is a tobacco barn decaying and covered with vines and trees. This barn was built in the 1940’s when tobacco was king. They would pick the tobacco from the stalk, string it on a stick and hang it in the barn. They would build a fire in the flue and heat the tobacco for about three days until it was a golden color. For more information go to the Tobacco Farm Life Museum. http://www.tobaccofarmlifemuseum.org/
