About twenty years ago after I had retired, J. A. Creech gave me a copy of the Selma centennial program. In this program was a wonderful history of Selma, it was researched and written by three women on the committee. I wish I could tell you their names but don’t know. John Wiggs might know; he was on that committee some fifty years ago. I decided that it needed to be on the WWW for everyone to read. So, I used OCR software to copy the pages, turned out to be a disaster. OCR will not recognize the dot printing used for this program. Took me about three weeks to correct all of the mistakes. I now have it as a word document and have it posted on my website. www.photosbymoon.com It takes 3 long pages on the website, long read.
If you like history it is well worth the time.
